![]() ![]() I use Rockwell most of the time these days and I would not say they have modern HMI software. Its difficult to dump on software you have based a career around so I try not to get too attached to any platform as it might be gone next year. This is a very complex subject with much history (I'm 30 year veteran and IFix is almost 25 yo now) and I am sure IFIX fanboys will not agree. Its very popular with Amazon fulfillment centers. I would call Ignition a new school program as it uses more modern technology standards than the old school versions. Not popular everywhere yet but manufactures see the writing on the wall. ![]() AVEVA Systems Platform/OMI is probably the most powerful but hardest to learn, Ignition 8 by Inductive Automation is one of the most approachable and has great full feature demo and free online training. Schneider appears to have most of the HMI's I would avoid from a professional and career standpoint. Only a few relevant platforms will be around 10 years from now. The small user base doesn't push the vendors to modernize the code over time. ![]() Most HMI's that have been around for decades have very old code and can be difficult to run on modern OS's. It's one of the old school dying platforms like many now owned by Schneider or AVEVA. ![]()
